Candace Moss Baumberger
Candace Moss Baumberger, 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 3, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Lineual Moss and Charlotte Ann Moss.
Candy was born on May 20, 1962, and a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, growing up in the East Brainerd community. She was a faithful member of Ridgedale Church of Christ until shortly after her children were born. She has been a faithful and active member of East Ridge Church of Christ since 1999.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Robert Baumberger of Chattanooga of 29 years; two children; son, Andy Baumberger of Chattanooga and daughter, Courtney Baumberger of Baton Rouge, La., brother, Tim (Ginger) Moss of Chattanooga, brother, Terry (Melanie) Moss of Ooltewah; one niece and five nephews and one great-niece, “of course.”
Having been employed by Cigna for 31 years (part-time for 26 years), Candy was a dedicated and diligent worker. Her hobbies were traveling with her family, attending high school sporting events, visiting with friends and loved ones, walking with family (especially walking on the beach on vacations), and watching and rooting for Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, July 15, and Saturday, July 16, at 10 a.m. at East Ridge Church of Christ, 951 McBrien Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37412.
The funeral service will be led by Andy Baumberger at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, also at East Ridge Church of Christ, followed by the internment at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to East Ridge Church of Christ, Mission Fund Program, 951 McBrien Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37412.
