On Saturday the City of East Ridge Parks and Recreation Department will host “Paws in the Park,” celebrating the opening of the city’s new dog park along with the local leaders and community members who made their community’s dog park a reality.  Located behind East Ridge City Hall at 1517 Tombras Ave., the grand opening festivity will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

A special ribbon cutting ceremony will kick off this special event that will also feature food trucks, special vendors with products for both humans and their pets, along with raffles for door prizes every 20 minutes.
Blood Assurance and other community organizations will be on hand to offer information about their neighborhood services.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their dogs and check out all the features the new dog park has to offer.
