The Chattanooga law firm of Evans Harrison Hackett PLLC announces attorney Timothy B. Ballard has joined the firm as a member. Mr. Ballard practices primarily domestic relations (“family”) and personal injury litigation.

In addition to his extensive litigation experience with divorce and child custody matters, Mr. Ballard has represented numerous clients in cases involving such nuanced issues as grandparent visitation, contested adoption and termination of parental rights, parental relocation and multi-jurisdictional child custody disputes, and Juvenile Court practice. He also regularly serves as a Guardian ad Litem in the Circuit and Chancery Courts.

While Mr. Ballard's practice consists largely of domestic relations, he also represents clients in personal injury litigation. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, a national publication based entirely on peer review, for his work in the arena of personal injury litigation on behalf of plaintiffs.

Mr. Ballard is a native of Chattanooga, and he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He then moved to Columbia, S.C., to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law. While obtaining his law degree, Mr. Ballard clerked for the Attorney General of South Carolina in the prosecution division.

Mr. Ballard is a member of the Justices Ray L. Brock, Jr. - Robert E. Cooper American Inn of Court, the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, and has served on the board of the Young Lawyers Division of the Chattanooga Bar Association for over four years.
