Guest Trumpet Soloist To Perform With Southern Adventist University’s Symphony Orchestra

The School of Music at Southern Adventist University invites the community to enjoy a Symphony Orchestra Concert on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists. Under the direction of Laurie Redmer Cadwallader, the evening program includes Tragic Overture by Johannes Brahms, Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major by Joseph Haydn, and Symphony No. 8 in G major by Antonín Dvorák. Nathan Warner, local trumpet soloist, will be featured in the concert.

Mr. Warner, a versatile trumpeter with abilities ranging from orchestral music to jazz improvisations, currently serves as assistant professor of music at Lee University. He holds degrees in jazz studies and classical trumpet performance and a Doctor of Musical Arts. Mr. Warner has performed in Broadway shows and for two United States presidents.
