Herbert “Hosey” Edwin Wells, Jr. 87, of Jasper, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. 

He was born to the late Herbert Edwin Wells, Sr. and Lillie Ann Hancock Wells on December 20, 1934.  Herbert was a Truck Driver for Yellow Freight Trucking for forty plus years, a Mason for fifty plus years and a member of the Sequatchie Valley Shriners.  He was an avid golfer, loved being on the lake, taking care of his yard, hunting and was a moose hunter in Canada.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Edwin Wells, Sr.; mother, Lillie Ann Hancock Wells; brother, David Wells; sisters, Margie Dover, Betty Ragan; and granddaughter, Kennedy Griffith.

He leaves all his memories to his son, Allen Wells; daughters, Pam Griffith, Jan (Troy) Coffelt; grandchildren, Tyler Moore, Shelby Moore, Kolbe Griffith, Brent (Becca) Layne, Lucas (Becca) Coffelt, Payton (Daniel) Ireland; great-grandchildren, Cru Layne and Tess Layne.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST at Tate Funeral Home, LLC in Jasper, Tn.

There will be a graveside service on Sunday, September 25, 2022, following visitation at 3:00 pm CST at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.

Pallbearers are Tyler Moore, Lucas Coffelt, Brent Layne, Daniel Ireland and Troy Coffelt and Vern Webb.
