Baylor School’s girls' cross-country team had a great morning at Woodland Park Baptist Church—finishing as runner up at the prestigious McCallie XC Invitational. Addi Greene led the varsity squad with a 16-seond PR—running 18:18.82.
Seniors Helen Webb (10th) & Addison Johnson (20th) dominated, and Laney Fowler & Audrey Cookston anchored the team's top five. Mallory Alling & Natalia Forato rounded out the varsity seven.
Led by sophomore Cristina Cervantes, Baylor’s JV crew earned a perfect score of 15 to wjn the girls JV race. Charlotte Ann Haddock, Ava Greer Allan, Ella Rogers, & Maelynn Adams-Cook were top five.
Gilly Shumate (9th) and Tessie Braman (15th) led GPS to a 3rd place finish. CCS’s Lucy Horne (6th) & Rachel Parker (17th) led CCS. Estella Clemons (14th) was Cleveland’s number one.
VARSITY RACE: Webb 43, Baylor 70, GPS 114 (3rd), CCS 122 (6th) of 13 total teams.
JV RACE: Baylor 15 (perfect score), Oak Ridge 68, CCS 92, Maryville 102, GPS 102, etc.
