Winford Paul Cantrell, Jr., 63, of Harrison, passed away September 24, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 14, 1958 to the late Mary Agnes Caruso Cantrell and Winford Paul Cantrell, Sr. in Chattanooga. Winford was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Masonic Limestone Lodge #176. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and spending time with his family, especially being “Pop-Pop” to his six grandbabies.
He is survived by his special friend, Stacy Hill; daughters, Jessie “Allen” Williams, Rachel “BJ’ Barnes, Elizabeth Cantrell and Lauren “Ryan” Viva; siblings, Jack “Jennie” Cantrell, Margaret “Sissy” Johnson, Charlie “Dora” Cantrell and John “Amie” Cantrell; grandchildren, Cooper Barnes, Brantley Finley, Alexandria Williams, Jaxon Viva, Jamison Williams and Cheyenne Viva; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26 at Gamble Road Baptist Church, 11703 Dolly Pond Road in Birchwood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the church, followed by the burial at New McDonald Eastview Cemetery in Ooltewah, with pallbearers Brandon Cantrell, Charles Cantrell, Jr., Chad Miller, Ronnie Blaylock, Steve Beaty and Michael Jump.
