Harvey Joe McBryar, 98, of Trenton, passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Chris Talley officiating. He will be laid to rest at Baptist Cemetery in Trenton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 4-8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon-2 p.m.
Harvey was born May 14, 1924 in Long Island, Al. to the late Gilbert and Ruby Woodfin McBryar. He proudly served in the United States Army and retired from B.F.I. in Chattanooga. Harvey loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Evelyn Cagle and Mary Wades; son, Winston McBryar; and several brother and sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jimmy (Bettye) McBryar; sister, Alvaleen Ellison, daughter in-law, Charlotte McBryar; grandchildren, Marty McBryar and Jennifer (Tim) Shrum; great-grandchildren, Jordain Shrum, Addison McBryar and Ian McBryar; and great-great-grandson, Isaac Skiles..
