Reed, Ernest Eugene (Cleveland)

Ernest Eugene Reed, 85, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home.

He was the son of the late Earl and Elsie Reed and was also preceded in death by his wife Margaret Reed along with his sister Betty Morris. 

Ernest was a proud United States Army veteran. He had a degree in Accounting but chose to be a Truck Driver instead. He drove a truck for Osborn Trucking for 20 plus years. He was of the Baptist faith. 

Survivors include his children, Michael Reed (Teresa), Stephen Reed (Shannon), Stephanie Lock (Rodney), 11 grandchildren 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 12 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Pastor Daniel White officiating.

The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Doug Linderman, Rodney Lock, Isaiah Reed, Chris Hitson, Matt Hitson and Chris Kelley. Cody Kelley will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
