Lillian Ruth Stuart, 87, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, in a local health care facility, surrounded by her family. 

She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a member of Community Hall Baptist Church.  She had lived in the area her entire life, and was retired from Cameron’s Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lena Pritchett Hawkins; her husband of 39 years, Jimmy Stuart; brothers, Lee Hawkins, C.L. Hawkins, and

Nathan Hawkins; and sisters, Willie Mae Kibble and Hazel Ownby.

She is survived by her three children, Teddy Hawkins (Donna) of Cleveland, DeWayne Stuart (Tracey) of Georgetown, and Ricky Stuart (Christa) of Ocoee; five grandchildren, Sada Hall, Collin Stuart, Karsyn Stuart, Michelle Thompson, and Wallace Farris; and three great-grandchildren, Brianna, Cameron, and Olivia Thompson; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Gary Forgey and Brothering Robert Bankston officiating.  Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Collin Stuart, Dan Womac, Daniel Womac, Jeremiah Stanfield, Josh Stanfield, and Jeff Gentry serving as pallbearers.  Jerry Kibble will serve as an honorary pallbearer.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home.
