Kimberly Leigh Patterson, a beloved member of the Benton community, passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 63. She was born on May 28, 1960, in East Ridge, to her loving parents, Malcom Thompson and Betty Ladd Fugatt.
Kimberly, known for her vibrant personality, loved to indulge in shopping escapades, cherished her furry companion, Toby, and reveled in the thrill of adventurous road trips. Kim was also a gifted cook and loved sharing new recipes with her friends and family. She cherished the time spent with her friends, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.
In addition to her unwavering dedication to her career, Kimberly was deeply committed to family. She leaves behind her beloved spouse, Dewayne Patterson, who stood beside her through thick and thin, and sister, Kim Higdon, and her husband, Mike, who shared a special bond of love and laughter throughout their lives. She will be greatly missed by her adoring uncle, Evis Thompson, and Aunt Sue Rowton, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Kimberly's life will be held on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at 11 a.m. to allow friends and family to reminisce and share their heartfelt condolences.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Kimberly's memory to the Mary Ellen Locher Breast Cancer Foundation. Her caring nature and compassion extended far beyond her personal circles, and donating to this cause would be a fitting tribute to Kimberly's genuine spirit.
Kimberly Leigh Patterson touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. She will forever be remembered as a vibrant soul, a loyal friend and a devoted family member. Her memory will guide us through the days ahead as we find solace in the fond memories we shared with her.
