Nellie Lucille Beavers Abbott, 87, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023. She was born September 14, 1935 to the late Ira and Maude Beavers.

Nellie was a devoted member of Brainerd Hills Church of God, and a former member of Parkway Church of God and Harbor of Faith Church of God. Nellie was a Christ-centered lady who led the Daughters of Zion Ministry. She enjoyed traveling, the mountains, playing the piano and spending quality time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her loving husband; Willard “Dewitt” Abbott; sister, Eugenia Clyngenpeel, and two brothers, Dewew and John R. Beavers.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law; Jeffery M. and Kimberly Dudley, Danny R. and Jerri Dudley, three grandchildren; Kristy (Steaven) Clark, Shelley (Bob) Cummings, Morgan (Justin) Ownby, five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Alyx, Ally, Grayson and Jax, two nieces and one nephew and other family and friends who cherish her memory.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the South Crest chapel.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Bradley Healthcare and Hearth Hospice, both of Cleveland, TN.
