CHATT Foundation Hosts Job Fair For City's Homeless

The CHATT Foundation is hosting a job fair for Chattanooga's homeless population on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the non­ profit's Community Center at 727 E. 11th St. Representatives from RHG Logistics Corporation, Riverdale Health Group, LLC, Labor Finders, and Chambers Welding Fabrication will be on­ site to discuss employment opportunities and interview candidates. The event is open to the public.

On Wednesday and Thursday before the job fair, volunteers from Project Hire will be working with individuals to update their resumes. American Job Center's mobile coach will be available to work with individuals on their interviewing skills. Barbering students and faculty from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Chattanooga will be providing free haircuts.

"At CHATT Foundation, we have the strategies in place to move homeless individuals and families into gainful employment and self-sufficiency," said CEO Baron King. "This job fair benefits Chattanooga businesses struggling to find enough workers in a tight labor market while providing homeless individuals that key foundation of employment."
