Lee alumna Lindsey Taylor Moseley, fourth-grade teacher at Waterville Community Elementary School, was named Bradley County’s Teacher of the Year for the 2024-25 academic year.

“While this was entirely unexpected, I am thrilled and humbled to represent such a phenomenal school district as Bradley County’s Teacher of the Year,” said Ms. Moseley. “While I have always known I wanted to be a teacher, I am so thankful for the wonderful foundation provided by Lee’s Helen DeVos College of Education that helped me excel in the teaching profession.”

Ms. Moseley has taught at Waterville Community Elementary School since 2020. Prior to accepting that position, she taught sixth grade at Lake Forest Middle School for eight years.

A Cleveland native, Ms. Moseley graduated from Walker Valley High School in 2008 and went on to pursue her degree at Lee. In 2011, she graduated from Lee with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education, returning to earn her Master of Education in classroom instruction in 2014.

“I am delighted to hear of Lindsey being named as Bradley County Teacher of the Year,” said Dr. Laura Anderson, professor of education at Lee. “As one of Lindsey’s education professors, I can attest to her wonderful ability to teach in the classroom. Bradley County is fortunate to have her, and Helen DeVos College of Education is proud of her!”

As a student at Lee, Ms. Moseley was a member of the Greek service club Delta Zeta Tau. She also participated in cross-cultural trips to the Philippines and Thailand.

She lives with her husband, Jonathan, and they have two daughters, Brooklyn, six, and Olivia, four.
