Wreaths Across Chattanooga needs volunteers to place wreaths this Saturday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Parking will be at Erlanger. Free shuttles will begin at 7:30 a.m. There is no available parking in the cemetery.

Trucks are scheduled to arrive about 8 a.m. and volunteers are needed to help unload the trucks and get the wreaths moved around the cemetery for placement.

"We will have a prayer and a short informative brief on the proper placement of wreaths at 10 a.m., then volunteers will help place the wreaths," organizers said.

On Friday, families that wish to place their loved ones wreaths can pick up their wreath after 2 p.m.
at the cemetery, near the Armed Forces Pavilion.

"We recommend arriving early, wearing shoes that you don’t care if they get muddy, and bring a pair of inexpensive gloves," organizers said. "We would love to have both individuals and groups help place the wreaths. We can sign off for volunteer hours. Please bring forms with you. Call 423-902-0309 with any questions. Thank you for helping honor heroes."
