Melton, Deborah "Debbie" Faye (Cleveland)

Deborah "Debbie" Faye Melton spent her last moments with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the age of 69. Deborah was born on July 6, 1953, to her parents Conrad and Vera Ellis.

Deborah was of the Catholic faith. She was a fantastic gift giver at heart. She also enjoyed bird watching and Nascar. Her favorite driver was the legendary Bill Elliott. She loved Elvis Presley, John Wayne, Dolly Parton, the Georgia Bulldogs, Gone With The Wind and the TV show, Survivor; of which she never missed an episode. She had a life-long love affair with many chocolate covered treats, including cherries, raisins, strawberries and peanut butter balls. Her day would always start and finish with French vanilla coffee.

She was preceded in death by her father, Conrad Ellis; daughter, Travacca Couch; and her great-grandson, Jameson Williams.

She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her mother, Vera Ellis; sister, Connie Steele; daughters. Maura (Tim) Duncan and Tara (Kevin) McDonald; son, Nicholas (Sumer) Johnson; other children, Pat Rosenthal, Marty Penny, Ross Penny and their families; grandchildren: Alexander, Desmond, Dakota, Cheyenne, Sabrina, Gregory, Tiffany, Olivia, Lucas and Willa; and great-grandchildren, Jayda, Rayleigh, Torri, Levi, Lorelai and Bear.

Per Deborah‘s request, no funeral service will be held. “I’ll be fine and dandy, Don’t let sorrow bring you way down.” Her final resting place will be at The Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Arrangements will be entrusted to Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland.
