Linda Lou Black, 65, lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away March 14, 2023 at a local hospital. She retired from Hardwick clothes after 35 years and loved spending time with her family & friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Morgan & Ethel Hysinger and Marion & Victoric Fortner; son, David J. Palmer; sister, Teresa Logan; brother, Steve Ledford; and nephew, Jason Dale.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Black; parents, David & Mamie Sue Fortner; daughter-in-law, Angel Palmer; grandson, Jaxson Palmer; nephew, Kevin Dale, Sr.; great-nephews, Kevin Dale, Jr., Cody Dale and Jimmy Dale; great-nieces, Kailtin Dale, Amber Taylor and Mackenzie Dale; and a host of cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22, with Pastor David Evans officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Cleveland.

The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
