It is with great sadness that the family of James Grady Moore announce his sudden passing on March 19, 2023, at the age of 50.

Grady was born on June 1, 1972, to Andrew and Linda Moore in Lake City, Fl. After graduating from Columbia High School in 1990, Grady went on to attend the University of Central Florida.

Grady returned to Lake City, Fl., and worked for many years at Rountree Moore Auto Group, where he held many positions over the years including vice president.

Wanting to be close to his large extended family, Grady moved to Chattanooga in early 2021. He was currently employed by Ace Hardware in Lookout Valley. He loved his house in Black Creek and spending time with family living close by.

Grady will be remembered for his big heart, kind, gentle spirit, smart intellect, wicked sense of humor and his steadfast loyalty to those he loved. Grady enjoyed playing golf, watching sports (especially the Florida Gators), listening to music and loved all animals. He fiercely loved his two nephews, Drew and Jack, and they affectionately called him “Big G”. He will be missed beyond measure by his family and friends.

Grady was predeceased by his grandparents, Jim and Susan Moore of Lake City, Fl., and Grady and Dot Jacobs of Bridgeport, Al.

He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Linda Moore of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl., sister, Katie Beroset (John) and beloved nephews, Drew and Jack of Gulf Breeze, Fl., several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Services will be held at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, 8124 East Brainerd Road, at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 24. The family will receive friends from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday at Council Fire, 100 Council Fire Dr., Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fresh Start Ministries of Central Florida, 4436 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Fl. 32804.
