LaShanda Nicole Ramsey Bowens, 31, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023.

She was a 2009 graduate of Tyner High School. LaShanda was formerly employed by T-Mobile as a Customer Service Representative.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Napoleon Ramsey and Dorothy Ramsey; brother, Justin Jones; and uncle, Timothy Ramsey.

Survivors include her husband, Marlon J. Bowens; mother, Pamela Ramsey; biological parents, Davon (Danielle) Rooks and Michelle Howard; siblings, DaShayla Howard, David Holloway, Jr., Kristina Hudgins, Jada Rooks, Xavier Fisher, Demetrius Rooks, and Desiree Rooks; aunts, Gloria Ramsey and Valerie P. Hicks, and Deborah Martin; great-uncles, Michael (Peggie) Hicks, Nathaniel (Connie) Ramsey, Robert (Beverly) Ramsey, and Ronald Ramsey and Richard Moon; great-aunts, Elizabeth Taylor, Estella Johnson, Cynthia Pigram, Frances (Roger) Terry, and Judy Murrell; special cousins, TaMyra (Curtis) Worthy, Jemichael Knight, Timothy (Saranda) Ramsey, Erik Drake, Montreal Mitchell, China (Dee) McCartherens, JonMontae Wickley, and Nieagell Sturkey; mother-in-law, Janet (Allen) Robinson; father-in-law, Rodz (Lisa) Silvers; a host of brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

LaShanda will lie in state on Sunday, April 2, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Monday, April 3, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Terryl James as the eulogist.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
