Carolyn Brown Shadrick, 80, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Carolyn was born in Chattanooga, to the late Mr. William Paul Brown and Mrs. Mary Ruth Cox Brown on December 30, 1942.

Carolyn was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She always put others before herself. Carolyn taught her family how to share, and how to treat others with respect and kindness. She was married to her childhood sweetheart for over 60 years, the late Floyd Shadrick, whom she had known since they were 12 and 13 years old.

Carolyn’s love made the good times great, the rough times easier, and the special occasions happier. Her special love, the unconditional love of a mother, the love that only a mother can give, will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Carolyn loved her late husband Floyd, her three children, Lisa Diane Shadrick Shields, married to Winston Shields, Tresa Denise Shadrick Hellerstedt, married to Evan Hellerstedt, and Thomas Scottland Shadrick, married to Janet Coulter Shadrick. She loved her grandbabies; Evan Hellerstedt, Jr., Haley Shields, Lexy Hellerstedt Chapin, Katie Shields, Ethan Morgan, Lacy Shadrick so much. Carolyn loved her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Diane Brown.

Thank you Carolyn for a special kind of love and being given the greatest love of all.
