Flora Lee Strickland
Flora Lee Strickland, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, in a local hospital.
She was a member of Pierce Avenue Baptist Church. Flora retired from North Carolina Mutual Insurance Company as an underwriter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Ida Hill; husbands, Alfonso Strickland and Robert Yearby; brother, Willie James Hill; sister, Susie Steele; son Daryl Strickland; and great-grandson, Zyon Johnson.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Strickland, Keith Strickland, and Thomas Strickland; grandchildren, Shonteion Strickland, Marcus McWorther, Zantreus Johnson, Shanerra Johnson, Shamia Strickland, Jarvis Strickland, Jamal Strickland, and Julius Strickland; great-grandson, Angel Strickland and 21 other great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Jeanette Sparks; daughter-in-law, Sharon Strickland; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends; devoted dog, Blackie.
Flora will lie in state on Saturday, April 15, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
