The Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church has announced its projected ministerial appointments for the coming year effective this July.
In the Scenic South District that covers largely the Chattanooga area, the Rev. Mickey Rainwater has been named district superintendent, the Rev. Jason Gattis will be the senior pastor at First-Centenary UMC, and the Rev. Matthew Wright will become an associate at Hixson UMC. Also, the Rev. Brian Burch has been named as pastor at Burks UMC, the Rev.
Shannon Marie Berry at Signal Mountain UMC, and the Rev. David Fugatt at Daisy/Sale Creek churches.
In the Hiwassee District that covers generally the Cleveland and Athens areas, the Rev. Sandra Johnson is interim district superintendent, the Rev. Stephen Yeaney will serve Allen Memorial UMC in Athens, the Rev. Micah Nicolaus will serve at Ooltewah UMC, the Rev. Hugh Kilgore will be the senior pastor at Broad Street UMC in Cleveland, and the Rev. Chris Brown has been appointed as an associate pastor at Broad Street UMC.
