Chattanooga’s Bike To Work Day Activates City To Encourage Sustainable Commuting

  • Wednesday, May 17, 2023

Outdoor Chattanooga invites the public Friday from 7-9 a.m. for a city-wide celebration of National Bike to Work Day. This highly anticipated annual event, sponsored by the Regional Planning Agency, Bike Walk Chattanooga, Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga, Outdoor Chattanooga, and Bike Chattanooga, aims to promote sustainable transportation alternatives, reduce traffic congestion, and encourage healthier lifestyles among residents.

Join Bike to Work Day by biking into Miller Park at 928 Market St. for a celebration, breakfast, coffee and information provided by local partners or visit one of the numerous Community Energize Stations, located at various locations throughout Chattanooga. As a special incentive, participants can pick up a free 24-hour Bike Chattanooga bike share pass between 7-9 a.m. and enjoy an entire day of exploring the city's bike routes, thanks to the generous support of sponsors. In addition to the Community Energize Stations, several neighborhood-based group rides will take place.
