Longtime Elementary Teacher And Taught Piano For Many Years

Tweetie Ball, 87, of Dublin, Georgia, passed away from this life and was escorted into the arms of Jesus on May 23, 2023.

She was born the daughter of J.D. and Lucille Holder of Pickens, SC on April 5, 1936. She graduated from Carson-Newman College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She was a long-time resident of Signal Mountain for 55 years with her family.

She was a devoted wife for 55 years to Coach Al Ball. She loved the Lord Jesus, her family and people. She was an elementary school teacher for 25 years. She was also a piano teacher on Signal Mountain for many years. She was a member of Bethsaida Baptist in Dublin for four years. While on Signal Mountain she was previously a member of The Point Church and Signal Mountain Baptist. She was a faithful servant in the Church and also volunteered at Teen Challenge and other places in the area.

She was preceded in death by her parents J.D. and Lucille Holder, her husband Coach Al Ball and her brothers Billy Holder and Johnny Mauldin Holder.

She is survived by her son, Brad (Janice) Ball of Dublin, GA, daughter Nikki Ball of Dublin, GA, her brother Pete Holder of Texarkana, TX and sister Judy Holder of Bangor, Maine.

Her Celebration of Life service is at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, at The Point Church, 939 Ridgeway Ave., Signal Mountain, with Dr. Brad Ball officiating the service. There will be a visitation before the service from 2-3 p.m.

Interment will be on Wednesday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
