James A. “Buddy” Hall, 83, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2023 at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Rossville area.

Buddy was of the Baptist faith and when he was able he attended South Soddy Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the late 1950s in Alaska. Buddy was retired from Republic Parking where he was a city manager. He also was a city manager for AllRight Parking for over 30 years. Buddy loved watching westerns, cheering on the Atlanta Braves in good seasons and bad and also loved his Georgia Bulldogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Hall; son, Tommy Hall; sister, Margaret Montieth, Jewel Poe and Louise Thompson; and brother, Gordon Hall

Survivors include two children, Kay (Don) Hickey and Jimmy (Karen) Hall; daughter-in-law, Sherry Hall; brothers, Lester Hall and Ralph Hall; sister, Dorothy (Sam) Walden; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 1, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Wayne Chasteen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens with military honors.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, from 3–9 p.m. and Thursday, June 1, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
