Robert (Bob/Bobby) H. Martin, 71, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

He was born in Arab, Al., and was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and W.T. Martin.

Bob lived most of his life in the Chattanooga area.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nadean Martin, brothers, Gerald (Sharon) of Melbourne, FL and Dale (Linda) of Ooltewah, step-daughter, Milissa (Russ) Graves, and three precious granddaughters: Katelyn Graves, Lauren Graves, and Allyson Venhuizen.

Bob spent many years working in the physical therapy field, where he met and grew to love Jen and Tony, and many others in that field.

He was a long-time member of the Dismembered Tennesseans, a bluegrass band, where he played acoustic guitar and sang vocals.

He leaves behind many close friends, only to mention a few: Bob Rogers, Steve Maxwell, Mitch Dixon, Bryan Blaylock, Mike Parham, Don Cassell, Doug Baron, ‘Doc’ Ed Cullis, and Laura Walker. They all enjoyed gathering for jam sessions in addition to playing music on stage at a variety of venues.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Program, www.disasterreliefeffort.org or the charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Christian Church, 9118 Snowhill Road, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363 on Monday, June 26, at 11:30 a.m. at the church building.
