Miller's Ale House To Host "Chat With The Mocs" Radio Show

  • Friday, August 11, 2023
A new partner is joining the Chattanooga Mocs to host the weekly "Chat with the Mocs" radio show hosted by the "Voice of the Mocs" Jim Reynolds. Multimedia rights holder Mocs Sports Properties, a Learfield subsidiary, came to an agreement with Miller's Ale House.

Miller's Ale House, located at 574 Northgate Mall Drive, opened in December 2022. It is the franchise's second location in Chattanooga, fourth in Tennessee and one of 103 stores in 10 states. The first Miller's Ale House opened in Jupiter, Fla., in 1988 as a local place to be enjoyed by everyone.

"Miller's Ale House is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Chattanooga Mocs and the "Chat with Mocs" radio show," general manager Franco Gunnell said.
"Miller's Ale House is THE destination for sports fans to enjoy great food and drink specials daily while catching your favorite teams."

"Chat with the Mocs" begins Monday, August 28. Head coach Rusty Wright and basketball coaches Dan Earl and Shawn Poppie are the featured guests with all sports represented throughout the year. The 2022-23 season saw more student-athlete involvement and is expected to continue with the 2023-24 lineup.

"We're excited that Miller's Ale House is hosting our shows," Vice-Chancellor Mark Wharton commented. "It's a great location for a large segment of our fans and one engaged with sports fans in general.

"Miller's Ale House is a fantastic place not only to host our shows but for fans to gather to watch our games when we're on the road."

"Chat with the Mocs" is every Monday beginning August 28 at 7:00 p.m. and airs on the Mocs flagship station WFLI 96.1 FM/1070 AM. Coach Wright and a student-athlete will be the first guests to kick off the season.

The 2023 football season features five home games including visits from non-conference foe Kennesaw State (9/9) and Southern Conference rivals The Citadel (9/16), Western Carolina (Homecoming, 10/7), ETSU (10/21) and Furman (11/4).

The Mocs kick off the season on the road at North Alabama on September 2 and close the year at the University of Alabama on November 18.

Season tickets are on sale now at the McKenzie Arena box office located at Gate 3 or call (423) 266-MOCS (6627). Tickets may be purchased online at GoMocs.com and printed at home.
