CHI Memorial Announces Music Therapy Program Sept. 18

CHI Memorial Hospital announces the launch of a Neurologic Music Therapy program, a form of rehabilitative treatment to assist stroke, trauma and Parkinson’s patients suffering from neurologic deficits in speech and sensorimotor processing.  Services are offered by a board-certified music therapist.

The event will take place on Monday from 11:30 a.m.-noon at CHI Memorial, 2525 de Sales Ave.

Event speakers include Thomas Devlin, MD, PhD, CHI Memorial Neuroscience Institute medical director, Alexandria (Lexi) Rodriguez, MA, MT-BC, NMT-AF, board-certified music therapist at CHI Memorial and Chyela Rowe, PhD, RDT/BCT, creative arts therapist and Arts and Well-being manager at CHI Memorial.
