Johnny Amos Edgeworth, age 59, of Dry Valley Road, Summerville, Georgia, passed away suddenly Friday afternoon in a Rome hospital.
A native Chattooga Countian, he was born to the late Kelley Amos Edgeworth and Betty Ann Siffles Edgeworth (who survives), on Dec. 17, 1963. Prior to retirement, Johnny was employed by the Gyron Car Wash for 30 years. In addition to his father, was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Edgeworth.
Surviving are his omther, Betty Ann Edgeworth; nephew, Joseph Edgeworth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m.. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Collins officiating.
Interment will be in Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tony Fountain, Russell Green, Michael Hall, David Ragan, Robert Siffles and Colt Siffles.
The family will receive friends Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
