Baylor traveled to Knoxville Catholic for a region soccer match on Tuesday and came home with a 6-1 win over the Irish.
At the second minute, the Lady Red Raiders’ Elizabeth Silva scored off a Sophia Mize cross. Then at the fourth minute, Jada Cooper scored off a Elizabeth Stophel cross.
Baylor’s Silva notched her second score of the match at the eighth minute off another Stophel cross. At the 16th minute, Mize scored again off a Lily Catalanotto pass.
Knox Catholic got n the board st the 27th minute, scoring off a long shot.
The Lady Red Raiders scored again at the 32nd minute, as Addi Green scored off a pass from Ryleigh Ramey making It 5-1 at halftime.
In the 57th minute, Cooper scored off a Stophel cross.
According to Baylor head coach Curtis Blair, “Coach Martin is doing a good job at Knoxville Catholic.
He has his girls playing hard the entire 80 minutes. I am proud of our girl's mentality to start the game. We knew it was a big region match and got the result we needed.”
Blair listed other standout players as Sara Hill-GK, Campbell Hoss-GK, Virginia Foster-GK, Zoe Misenhimer, Emery Carico, Corinne Hessler, Lily Simpson, Olivia Newton
Baylor’s record now stands at 10-0-1 and 3-0 in district play.
