Women’s Fund Will Host Annual Voices Luncheon Sept. 29; Limited Tickets Remain

  • Thursday, September 21, 2023
The Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga will host its annual fundraiser, Voices, on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Chattanoogan Hotel. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. for networking and the Power of the Purse Silent Auction. From 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., guests will enjoy lunch and a program featuring three local women sharing their personal stories and demonstrating the power of advocacy. The recipient of the 2023 Nightingale Network grant will also be announced.

“Voices highlights our work to leverage advocacy, philanthropy and a robust network of partners to diminish root causes of inequity.
We hope this year’s event inspires all attendees to leverage their Voices to improve the lives of women and girls in Tennessee,” said Board Chair Rachael Sauceman.

The Women’s Fund is also celebrating that it successfully passed the proactive legislation to define "Financial Abuse" and extend the definition to the Domestic Abuse and Vulnerable Adult (those advanced in age or living with a disability) sections of the Tennessee Code Annotated. Currently, this is the most comprehensive Financial Abuse Legislation in the United States, officials said.

During the program, the Women’s Fund will announce the recipient of the 2023 Nightingale Network grant. This year’s finalists are Chambliss Center for Children, Signal Centers and Chattanooga Room in the INN. The Nightingale Network is the collective philanthropy initiative of the Women’s Fund, providing an organized platform for people to have a positive social impact on women and girls. Since 2011, the Nightingale Network, along with matching funds from The Women's Fund of Greater Chattanooga, has awarded more than $120,000 to area non-profit organizations.
