Betty Jo Cross
Betty Jo Cross, 87, of Dalton, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.
She was the daughter of the late, Joseph and Zula Kennedy and was preceded in death by her sister Della Bates and her brothers, HC "Chub" Kennedy and James "Bear" Kennedy.
She loved gardening, quilting and especially doting on her grandchildren.
Betty Jo is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Steve Barnes of Cartersville, GA and Robbin and Kenny Endinger of Rocky Face; sister Barbara McCroskey of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Zachary Cochran, Lauren Cochran Brown and Stephen Barnes; great-grandchildren, Olivia Brown; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, at Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel with Rev. Chuck Harmon officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 p.m. until the service hour at 2 p.m.
