The Mountain T.O.P. Housing Summit will be held Thursday and Friday.
A Zoom panel discussion on Affordable Housing Development in Rural Appalachia, Tn., and at Mountain T.O.P. is Thursday from 2-4 p.m. CST.
The speakers on Thursday include Scott McReynolds, Sherry Trent and Mike Feely. Mr. McReynolds is the executive director of Housing Development Alliance, Inc. in Hazard, Ky. He will speak on Affordable Housing Development in Rural Appalachia. Ms. Trent is the CEO of Eastern Eight CDC in Johnson City and she will speak on What's Going on in Tennessee. Mr. Feely is the executive director of Mountain T.O.P. and his topic will be Mountain T.O.P. and Housing Development.
The Summit will be held Friday at 480 Old Highway 56 in Coalmont, Tn. from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. CST. It will include a local leadership roundtable discussing the Local State of Housing.
Also on Friday will be Jens Christensen, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga, speaking on Homelessness, Housing Affordability and Community Health. Stace Karge, loan specialist/ and housing counselor for Clinch Powell CDC in Rutledge, Tn., will speak on Housing Counseling as a Key to Affordability.
