Elaine Fowler Jacks
Elaine Fowler Jacks, 88, of Hixson, Tennessee, died peacefully in her home after an extended illness on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Elaine was born and raised in Laurel, Ms., where she met and married her husband of 63 years, Jerry C. Jacks. She was a loving wife and mother, a devoted Christian and member of Hixson First Baptist Church. Elaine was a creative artist who not only painted, but worked in management at several retail shops throughout her life. Elaine was a kind, generous person and is already sorely missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her son, Eric C. Jacks, her parents, Charles M. and Mary Freeman Fowler, and her granddaughter, Andrea G. Jacks.
Elaine leaves behind her daughter, Janet J. Connelly and husband, Kevin, her son, Dr. Alan F. Jacks and wife Janice, her son, Robert C. Jacks and wife Patti; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived b er beloved sister-in-law, Jeannine Stone.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
