Missy Crutchfield
Local singer-songwriters wrote an original campaign song called “We Can Build a Bridge” inspired by Missy Crutchfield’s State Senate campaign slogan—“Building Bridges.” As Election Day nears and societal anxiety has been reported to be at an all-time high this election cycle, the message of the campaign song calls for a community effort to work together, bridge the divide, and rise above the division and polarization that has shaped America’s political culture in recent years, said campaign officials.
The project can be viewed on the campaign's YouTube and social media channels.
On the release of the song, Ms. Crutchfield said, "We have some wonderfully talented singer-songwriters who have brought their creativity and generosity to this project and I want to thank and recognize Butch Ross and Richard Daigle for writing and producing this song and the vocalists Hayley Graham Duncan, Luke Simmons, Raif Gork for bringing the song to life. As we are reminded by this song’s message, it's time for change in Tennessee and it is going to take all of us working together to build bridges for a stronger, safer, healthier Tennessee for all."
