Upcoming Special Event And Construction Road Closures

Here are upcoming special event and construction road closures:

Three Sisters Bluegrass Festival / Chattanooga Pride Festival

Ross’ Landing and the Waterfront will have restricted vehicle access during the Three Sisters Bluegrass Festival (Friday and Saturday) and the Chattanooga Pride Festival (Sunday).

The following roads and areas will see closures or restrictions beginning Friday, at 7 a.m. until Sunday, at 11:30 p.m.: 

·       Riverfront Parkway from Molly Lane (east entrance closest to SpringHill Suites) and Aquarium Way will be fully closed

·       Chestnut Street between Aquarium Way and Riverfront Parkway will be fully closed 

·       Power Alley from parking lot entrance to Riverfront Parkway will be fully closed

·       Veterans Bridge ramp from Georgia Ave northbound to Riverfront Parkway westbound will be fully closed

·       All tractor-trailer traffic will be restricted at W MLK Blvd and will not be allowed northbound, all tractor-trailers must detour via MLK Blvd, Market Street, and Aquarium Way to continue on Riverfront Parkway

Chattanooga Pride Parade

The Chattanooga Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, at 11:30 a.m., traveling from the corner of Walnut Street / 4th Street to Chestnut Street / Riverfront Parkway. 

The following roads and areas will see closures or restrictions beginning Sunday, from 11 a.m. until estimated 12:30 p.m.:

·       4th Street westbound right lane from Walnut Street to Market Street will be closed

·       Market Street northbound from 4th Street to Aquarium Way will be closed

·       Aquarium Way westbound from Market Street to Chestnut Street will be closed

·       Parade will disperse when reaching the intersection of Chestnut Street and Aquarium Way

Chattanooga Market

Reggie White Blvd between W 19th Street and the Skate Park access road will close every Sunday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. through Nov. 24, for the Chattanooga Market. 

CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES

3207 Campbell Street

The closure of Campbell Street will continue until Friday, Oct. 11, to complete a sewer main replacement. Southbound detours will be via New York Ave and northbound detours via Wilder Street and Dodson Ave. 

8th Street

8th Street between Broad Street and Market Street will be closed on Friday, for a crane lift. The road is expected to reopen before the evening rush hour. 

Mocs Alumni Drive at Arena

Mocs Alumni Drive will be closed Sunday, from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. (Sunday) for event truck loading/unloading.

TRAFFIC IMPACT ALERT – FRAZIER AVENUE

Frazier Ave Resurfacing & Restriping 

CDOT is announcing the intention to begin resurfacing and restriping of Frazier Avenue between Market Street and Barton Ave the week of Monday, Oct. 14, and will take an estimated four days to complete. A lane both westbound and eastbound will be maintained during the daytime work with the brief, occasional full closure of adjoining streets. Additional details including the scope of work will be announced next week.
