The Barnett & Company Classics Series will present Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto on Thursday, Nov. 7, 7:30 p.m. at the Memorial Auditorium.
Review for the concert:
Prepare to be swept away by the beauty of one of the best-known violin concertos - Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, performed by CSO Associate Concertmaster, Josh Holritz. Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 was a struggle for him to complete – taking almost 20 years. Composed with tenacity, determination, and soaring horn calls, you might just find yourself on the edge of your seat. The program is rounded out with Florence Price’s Adoration who's intimate nature is a perfect vehicle to showcase the warmth of our string section.
