UTC Runners Set To Run In NCAA South Region Championships Friday

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2024
The Chattanooga Mocs cross country teams are set to run in the NCAA South Region Championships hosted by Florida State Friday morning at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla.

“We have one more meet to cap a very good season for both teams,” Mocs head coach Andy Meyer said. “The region meet returns to Tallahassee this year. It is a very fast course, and the weather looks almost perfect.”

The women’s 6-kilometer race starts at 8:30 a.m. with the men’s 10K to follow at 9:30 Eastern Standard Time.

“Both teams have been ranked in the Top 15 in our region off and on all year,” Meyer said.
“Hopefully we can complete the task on Friday.

“The women ran really well at the conference meet so I hope we can run that hard one more time. The men did not run to our potential. Hopefully we are fully and properly motivated to race this Friday.”

Live results are available online at GoMocs.com on the cross country schedule page.
