Warner Park Pool announced the completion of a major renovation with the installation of a brand-new pool liner, marking a significant upgrade to the facility. This project, which replaces the previous painted surface that required annual touch-ups, will ensure a more durable, aesthetically pleasing, and safe swimming experience for residents and visitors.
For years, the pool at Warner Park was painted, and each season required draining to perform necessary touch-ups and maintenance, including addressing the unsightly expansion joints.
With the new liner, these concerns are a thing of the past. The installation features a hot-air welded liner at the seams, providing a seamless, long-lasting surface that will eliminate the need for frequent repairs and upkeep.
Upgrades Include:
-
Anti-Skid Features: The smaller wading pools now have anti-skid material on the stairs to ensure enhanced safety for younger swimmers.
-
Reinstalled and Secured Railings: Poolside railings have been completely reinstalled and secured to meet safety standards.
-
Sealed Gutter System: As part of the comprehensive repairs, the pool's gutter system has been sealed to prevent water loss and improve efficiency.
-
Refreshed Racing Lanes: The racing lanes have been updated with a new PVC membrane, bringing them up to competition standard for swim events.
The new liner comes with a 15-year warranty, and the city, in collaboration with DWR Aquatics, is confident that the maintenance and care of the pool will be manageable, ensuring that Warner Park remains a prime destination for summer fun in the Chattanooga area.
Officials said, "With this investment, the city is setting the stage for years of enjoyment and an improved experience for everyone who comes to Warner Park to cool off during the summer months. This renovation represents a commitment to maintaining a top-tier community facility that locals and visitors alike can enjoy for many years to come."
