The U.S. Constitution provides all citizens the right to peacefully assemble and have the freedom to speak and petition the government to redress of grievances. What does redress grievances mean? Per Wikipedia the redress of grievances refers to the formal process by which individuals can seek correction or remedy for perceived injustices or wrongs, particularly those committed by the government. It demands accountability of our elected officials.
The accountability is a two way street, we elect the officials to represent us as American citizens and expect accountability for those we elect.
The 2nd amendment provides the right for the citizens to keep and bear arms. This also is a two way street where we are allowed the protection of arms and a check against unchecked federal power.
These rights we're given to the citizens of a free state and with that I ask everyone who is a United States citizen to vote. No matter your party affiliation, it's your right and your duty to vote.
