Essie Lee Moore Fritts, 85, of Sequatchie, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at a local hospice facility.

A retired employee of Kodak Film Processing in Red Bank, T. Essie was known for her love of reading, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Melvin Fritts, her parents, and several siblings.

Essie is survived by her son, Johnnie Steven Fritts; daughter, Mary Beth (Kevin) Byars; grandchildren, Megan (Heath) Autry, Amie Usry, Derrick Usry, and Carson Byars; great-grandchildren, Emory Elizabeth Autry and Esther Elaine Autry; as well as several extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, Dec. 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tn.

Essie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
