Held Long Career With Komatsu And Never Met A Stranger

Bart McClure, 64, of Soddy Daisy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

He attended the Ministry Center in Hixson. Bart worked for Komatsu for 35 years. He enjoyed every day of his life with his family and loved ones. Bart was a helper to anyone in a time of need. He never met a stranger and always had a smile.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy McClure; grandparents, Rile and Maggie Mae McClendon; mother-in-law, Faye Overturf.

Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Melinda McClure; daughter, Katie Lewis (Kevin); grandchildren, McKenzie Blackstone and Braxton Blackstone; brother, Steve McClure; sisters, Tonya McClure and Andrea Mayberry; special family, Jane and Leonard Smartt; several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be on Monday, Dec. 16, from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Phil Harris and Bishop Grant Chauncey officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
