Nancy Pauline Daugherty
Nancy Pauline Daugherty, 95, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Nancy Alexander. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Ervin Daugherty; son, Brian Daugherty; siblings, Alton, Jiggs, Rick, Lonnie and Donnie Alexander and Marge Whitmer.
Throughout her life, Pauline lived in Port Arthur, Hobbs, N.M. and Modesto, Ca., for over 20 years, before settling in Chattanooga.
She was a faithful member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She graduated from the Baroness Erlanger Hospital School of Nursing and was a proud nurse for many years.
Pauline was a spunky and strong woman with a lot of grit. She loved to exercise at the Sports Barn. She lived her faith out every day through prayer and acts of service. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheri (Tracy) Stakely, Michelle (Kevin) Mathews; grandkids, Victoria and Valetta Mathews, Devin Daugherty, Bryson and Bella Stakely and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3–6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel with Dr. Doug Plumlee officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Sunday School Class.
