The Friends of Hixson and the Hixson Kiwanis invite the public to come out and help kick off the holiday season at the annual Hixson Community Christmas Tree Lighting event this Saturday at Clear Creek Church of Christ, 5612 Hixson Pike.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. with refreshments in the church’s Community Café, with the music program scheduled from 6:30-7:30 p.m., featuring Hixson High School’s band, choir and strings orchestra.
Tennessee State House Representative, District 26, Greg Martin will serve as emcee for the event.
Santa Claus will join Rep. Martin in lighting the community Christmas tree at 7:30 p.m.
