The grand opening of Hoptown Beer Bar's second location will take place Saturday at 8 a.m. during MAINx24.
In the old Fountainhead Taproom at 1617 Rossville Ave. in the Southside, Hoptown Beer Bar has added a full bar consisting of 60 taps with domestic and craft beer, as well as cocktails and wine alongside a remarkable array of bourbon and tequila. There are several TVs located thought the bar for sporting events. Other activities include a pool table, photobooth, moss wall selfie station and basketball pop a shot.
For food right now the bar will be serving a jumbo pretzel baked from friends at Bluff View. Owners have plans to expand the food menu soon.
During the grand opening on Saturday, DJ Jazzy J will be playing at 10 a.m., Lee Card playing at 3 p.m., the SEC National Championship Game will be shown at 4 p.m., and there will be a Pop-A-Shot contest with a $100 prize from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. There will also be drink specials all day long.
The other location in Cambridge Square Ooltewah of nine years will remain open.
