James Jackson Robinson III, 73, passed away December 4, 2024.

He was born in Hixson, to the late James II and Lillian Robinson. James was a teacher and counselor at Ringgold High School and special education teacher at Ridgeland High School. He was a golf coach, he loved playing golf and was a fan of Jimmy Buffet. James was a social butterfly who became a friend to all and made real connections. He attended Hixson High School and Red Bank High School, he finished his bachelor's degree at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and master’s at The University of West Georgia. James was also a member of Metro Tabernacle Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his aunts and uncles.

James is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia E. Robinson, sister, Janice Moore, nieces, Katherine (Stephen) Holley, Michelle (Scott) Smith, Angie McDonald and Jada McDonald, nephew, Jody McDonald, sister-in-law, Christine Merrilees and brother-in-law, Christopher (Lillian) Rule and close friends, Jeff Greeson, Rod Huskey, Mike Ladd, Tom Massengale, David Johnson and David Wilson.
