Thomas Corey Strickland
Thomas Corey Strickland, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, at the age of 53 at Parkridge Medical Center.
Born in Chattanooga on Sept. 9, 1971, Corey's childhood was spent racing the hills of Brainerd and Tunnel Boulevard with his bicycle. After graduation, Thomas joined the Army and traveled to Munich and Frankfurt, Germany. He then returned and started a new chapter in Tacoma, Wa. before returning to Chattanooga.
From becoming telecommunication technician with Comcast and AT&T for many years to founding his own business, TMG Holdings LLC, in 2022, he was a man known for his immense ambition but stoic love. He always made sure not only his mother, but that his whole family was taken care of and provided for. Truly a king of his castle
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Fahmida "Faye" Strickland; his son, Manuel Strickland; his sister, Theresa Walker; his mother, Delphia "Diann" Toney; his Niece-daughter, Chantel Peoples; his son-in-law, Corey Peoples; his niece, Sharonda Dockery (Timothy); his nephews, Anthony Robinson and Allen Walker; his Bonus sons, Dawood Khan, Zarash Khan and his grandchildren, Cheyenne Peoples and Jovan Joseph; A dear friend, Bryant "B.A." Akers; In-laws, Clarence Joseph, Nadira Joseph. He was preceded in death by Thomas Corue Strickland and his sister, Carla Reneé Toney.
Public viewing will be from 9-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, followed immediately by a funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery, at 1:30 p.m.
