Retired From DuPont And Was An Avid Alabama Football Fan

Christine A. Chesnut, 92, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Christine was born in Cedar Bluff, Al., on May 31, 1931.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Chesnut; parents, Alvie and Audrie Adrian; sister, Doris Wester; and brother, Robert Adrian.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Diane Griffin; daughter, Renee (Eric) Shadden; grandson, Adam (Sandee) Griffin); sister, Shirley Lawson; and brother, Wayne Adrian.

Christine was retired from DuPont and she was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church, now Abba’s House, since 1960. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and LOVED watching Alabama Football…Roll Tide!!

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.

The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. She will be interred beside her beloved Billy in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
