Wm. David (Ted) (RoHo) Newell, Jr., 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Friday, February 23, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wm. David Newell, Sr., mother, Essie Newell, brother, Von Newell, and infant sister.

He is survived by his wife Linda LaParry Newell, of Chattanooga, and several nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Rossville High School in 1959 and worked at Chris Craft Boat Co. until 1964. He then worked at DuPont and retired in May 1998 from the Salt House, "C" shift.

He belonged to several DuPont Retiree Groups; liked cars, especially Corvettes; enjoyed going to Estate/yard sales and working on his class reunions.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 25, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.

Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, at Lakewood Memory Gardens – East.

The family will receive friends from 2–4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgedale Baptist Church, 1831 Hickory Valley Rd, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
