Erin Creal
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga has named a non-profit veteran as their office and family services manager. Erin Creal has worked in non-profit organizations since graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The native Chattanoogan began her career with Southeast Tennessee Human Resource Agency then served at Partnership for Families, Children and Adults in Youth Services. Most recently Ms. Creal served as executive director for Chattanooga Room in the Inn, a residential program for unhoused women and children.
Ms.
Creal shares the organization’s philosophy that homelessness can be eliminated with affordable and accessible housing and that their motto that “everyone deserves a decent place to live,” is making a difference in her hometown. Ms. Creal has a BS in criminal justice and an MBA from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Habitat’s president and CEO Jens Christensen said, “We are absolutely honored to welcome Erin to the Habitat family. Erin is a perfect fit because not only does she know the community, but the community knows her.”
Ms. Creal said, “Habitat isn’t a band-aid to social injustice. It provides an opportunity for affordable and accessible housing which leads to generational wealth-building. I am energized to make a difference for Habitat’s families. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to make a difference in the community I call home.”
